Wii Transfer for Mac

Here’s a pretty cool application for Mac users which allows you to share your movies, pictures and music directly to your Wii using the Internet Channel. You can also browse iTunes playlists and iPhoto albums on your TV.  Wii Transfer convert your movies to formats the Wii understands, either streaming directly from your Mac to your Wii or for playback in the Wii’s Photo Channel.

Wii - removing support for MP3, adds AAC support

Engadget reports that Nintendo will be removing support for MP3 from the Photo channel and replacing it with support for AAC.  A forthcoming Photo Channel update will remove support for MP3 format but replace it with AAC support.

Miro Open Source Internet TV 1.0 Released

Yeah, I know it can’t be used with the Wii just yet, but Miro is pretty cool all-the-same.  Miro claims to be better than Joost, more channels, formats, etc. It’s these kinds of apps that make me wish I had a dedicated HTPC. Check out Miro.
