Wii – removing support for MP3, adds AAC support

Engadget reports that Nintendo will be removing support for MP3 from the Photo channel and replacing it with support for AAC. A forthcoming Photo Channel update will remove support for MP3 format but replace it with AAC support.

Miro Open Source Internet TV 1.0 Released

Yeah, I know it can’t be used with the Wii just yet, but Miro is pretty cool all-the-same. Miro claims to be better than Joost, more channels, formats, etc. It’s these kinds of apps that make me wish I had a dedicated HTPC. Check out Miro.
